Year 7 Geography Students’ Flags Reach Antarctica!
Last term, our Year 7 geography students participated in an exciting Antarctica flag competition as part of their studies on polar regions and climate.
We are thrilled to share that the winning flags were selected to travel with scientists on an expedition to the Antarctic! The flags have now officially reached the frozen continent and were photographed aboard the RRS Sir David Attenborough ship in the Weddell Sea.
A huge congratulations to our talented winning students: K Hobday, N Garland, J Harris, and J Taylor. Their creative and thoughtful designs are now part of a truly unique global initiative connecting young learners with real-world science.
Well done to all students who took part — and thank you to the research team for helping bring this project to life!
