Year 12 Enjoy Exciting Fortnight of Opportunities

It is an exciting time for our Year 12 students, who have just begun their work experience placements this week across a wide range of industries. This valuable opportunity allows them to gain first-hand insight into the world of work, develop key employability skills, and explore potential future career pathways.

The momentum continues next week with a packed programme of post-16 and careers-focused events. On Tuesday 23rd June, students will attend a UCAS Discovery Day, where they will have the chance to meet universities, apprenticeship providers, and employers, helping them to make informed decisions about their next steps after sixth form. 

This is followed by a dedicated Careers Day on Wednesday 24th June, designed to further support students in planning their futures, developing essential skills, and gaining guidance from experienced professionals.

To round off the week, we look forward to welcoming our current Year 11 students on Thursday 25th June for a Sixth Form Taster Day. This will be a fantastic opportunity for them to experience life in the sixth form, sample lessons, and begin preparing for the transition in September.

It promises to be a busy and rewarding period, reflecting our continued commitment to preparing students for successful futures beyond Aldridge School.
