Year 10 and 11 Students Take to the Slopes at the SnowDome
Year 10 and 11 students from Aldridge School have been hitting the slopes at the SnowDome as they prepare for their upcoming ski trip. Over the past two weeks, students have begun their lessons, taking their first exciting steps into the world of skiing.
The sessions have provided a fantastic opportunity for students to learn a new skill, build confidence and develop essential skiing techniques, including controlling their speed and direction safely on the slopes. It has been wonderful to see students challenging themselves, supporting one another and growing in confidence with every lesson.
Reflecting on their experience, students said: “We had a great time learning to ski. It was brilliant to see ourselves making progress and becoming more confident on the slope.”
Staff have also enjoyed supporting students throughout their lessons, celebrating their achievements and sharing in their enthusiasm as confidence has grown. With more groups still to begin their sessions, excitement is continuing to build ahead of what promises to be an unforgettable ski trip.
We look forward to sharing more updates as our students continue their skiing journey and prepare for the adventure ahead.
