National Careers Week Year 8 Assembly

As part of Aldridge School’s celebrations for National Careers Week, pupils are having the opportunity to hear from a range of visitors who are sharing insights into their professional journeys.
On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome parents into school to discuss their careers and inspire our young people with real world experiences.
Our first guest was a visit from Tristan Beer, who spoke to Year 8 pupils about his varied and meaningful career path. Tristan began his career in the Army before training as a nurse, later working in NHS hospitals as part of his service. He then changed direction once again, becoming a lecturer in nursing at Walsall College. His journey demonstrated to pupils that careers are rarely linear—and that achieving your goals is always possible, even when plans need to change along the way.
Aldridge School would like to extend a sincere thank you to Tristan for taking the time to share his story and inspire our Year 8 students during National Careers Week.
