National Careers Week Year 7 Assembly

As part of Aldridge School’s celebrations for National Careers Week, pupils have been given valuable opportunities to hear from a range of visitors who are sharing insights into their professional journeys.

On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome parents into school to discuss their careers and inspire our young people with real world experiences.

We were also pleased to welcome Chris Perry, who spoke to Year 7 pupils about his career pathway—beginning in teaching before moving into the television industry. Chris shared the extensive experiences he has gained throughout his career, highlighting both the challenges and the successes he has encountered along the way. He also spoke about his work with Kaleidoscope and the many careers he has helped others pursue within television.

Students were highly engaged throughout the session, asking thoughtful questions, with one pupil even staying behind afterward to find out more.

Aldridge School extends a big thank you to Chris for taking the time to speak to our students and for helping make National Careers Week such an inspiring experience.
