From Stories to Smiles: Aldridge Students Read for Good
Young readers at Aldridge School proved that books can change lives when they raised an incredible £583.30 in their annual Readathon.
Students at Aldridge School threw themselves into hundreds of books, showing that every page turned was a step towards helping children in need. Their efforts supported the “Read for Good” charity, which funds a remarkable hospital programme for seriously ill children - providing mobile bookcases packed with new books and author visits to every major children’s hospital across the country.
Since 2008, Aldridge School has raised over £33,000, proving that when young people read together, they can write a brighter future for others. Noah S, Year 7, captured the excitement perfectly: “Reading was fun, and knowing it helped others made it even better!”
