Careers Event - F2D

Aldridge School was delighted to welcome F2D on 6th February to deliver an engaging entrepreneurial workshop for a group of selected Year 9 pupils. The session gave pupils a unique opportunity to experience the full creative and commercial process behind designing and producing clothing.
During the workshop, pupils worked closely with the F2D team to design their own hoodies, present their ideas, and explore key concepts in branding, manufacturing, and marketing. They also took part in competitions focused on logos, branding, and slogan development, developing their understanding of how design choices shape identity and appeal. As part of the challenge, pupils even created a business plan identifying their target market, costings, and the origins of their brand concept.
The experience encouraged pupils to begin thinking like entrepreneurs—moving from concept to product with guidance from industry professionals. One pupil said, “Today was fun and interesting; we learnt about the steps involved in creating a hoodie.”
The students’ hoodie designs will now be professionally produced, giving them the opportunity to see their creations come to life and complete the full journey from initial sketches to finished garments.
