Book Week Champions at Aldridge School Celebrate with Special Guest Matt Windle

This week, we concluded our Year 7 Book Week celebrations with a special Prize-Giving event recognising the creativity and enthusiasm shown by our pupils in the Book Week competitions.

We were delighted to welcome Matt Windle, who joined us to present prizes to our talented winners. Pupils were thrilled to receive a signed copy of Dread Wood by Jennifer Killick, a fantastic reward for their outstanding entries and love of reading.

Matt shared insights from his unique career as both a professional boxer and poet, inspiring students to pursue their passions, embrace creativity and work hard to achieve their goals. His visit was a fantastic reminder that success can be found through many different paths.

Thank you to all Year 7 pupils who took part in the competitions and activities throughout the week. Your enthusiasm, creativity and love of reading helped make this year's Book Week a great success! We hope the celebrations have inspired even more students to discover the joy of reading.
