Aldridge School Welcomes Romeo Fazal for Motivational Careers Week Talk

As part of Aldridge School’s celebrations for National Careers Week, pupils have continued to benefit from a wide range of visitors sharing insights into their professional journeys.
On Wednesday morning, we were pleased to welcome Romeo Fazal from Olymp Group, who spoke in person to the Student Council about his varied and motivating career path. The session was also made available via Teams to all form groups across every year, ensuring that all pupils could take part.
Romeo began by describing his early aspiration to become a professional footballer, a dream that ultimately didn’t come to fruition. However, he shared how this setback led him to reassess his goals and pursue a rewarding career in law. He spoke about the academic commitment required for this pathway, as well as the importance of building a strong personal profile through hobbies, interests, and wider experiences.
During the talk, Romeo also emphasised key employability skills such as communication, resilience, and stepping outside your comfort zone—qualities he explained are essential for personal growth and long term career success. Pupils asked thoughtful and engaging questions throughout the session, with some staying afterwards to seek further advice.
Aldridge School extends a big thank you to Romeo Fazal for taking the time to speak with our students and for playing a valuable role in supporting National Careers Week.
