Aldridge School Students Buzzing with Free Books!
Excitement filled the corridors at Aldridge School this week as every Year 7 student received a free book of their choice through BookTrust’s national “Bookbuzz” programme.
Bookbuzz is an inspiring reading initiative designed to help young people discover the joy of books. As part of the scheme, all Year 7 pupils had the opportunity to select their own title from a collection of 16 exciting and carefully chosen reads.
Our students were thrilled to take part. Ella A, shared, “It was amazing to get a free book that I got to choose! I can’t wait to start reading it!”
Meanwhile, Leo S, added, “There were so many different kinds of books; funny, mystery and adventure, that it made it really hard to pick just one!”
The Bookbuzz project is all about sparking a lifelong love of reading, and judging by the smiles on our students’ faces, it has certainly achieved that!
