STEM Army Workshop
Over the past 2 days, we were thrilled to welcome the British Army into school to deliver an exciting and informative STEM workshop. The session began with a talk introducing students to eight different engineering roles available within the Army. Students learned about the qualifications required to enter these roles, as well as the educational opportunities the Army provides, including apprenticeships and further training. The talk also highlighted the many perks of a career in the Army, such as travel, job security, and personal development.
Following the presentation, students took part in a hands-on challenge: designing and building a K’nex vehicle powered by compressed air. The competition was fierce, and the winning teams were awarded prizes generously provided by the Army.
A huge thank you to the Army team for giving up their time to inspire our students and showcase the exciting possibilities within STEM and military engineering careers!
