Careers Assemblies May 2025
A big thank you to all the guest speakers who came in to deliver a Careers assembly w/c 5th May.
Year 7 – Abi Lawley from Morgan Sindall (photographed) an apprentice Site Manager who spoke to students about her experience and opportunities available in the construction industry. Great to break some of the stereotypes around women in construction!
Year 8 – Jodie Perks from BMET getting students to start thinking about career paths and what is available to them. Although students are in Year 8, they will be taking their option subjects next academic year and so it is important that they start to consider careers and opportunities available to them to help inform their decisions.
Year 9 – Rose Rees from Midland Metro who spoke to students about careers within transportation and the opportunities that are being created locally.
Year 10 – Peter Hubbard from Access Creative who spoke to students about creative careers and the opportunities available from games design through to becoming a musician.
A fantastic array of careers showcased this week, thank you to all of our guests.
